The Team
The team comprises of two brothers, Richard and William van der Byl.
Growing up with a father that successfully owned & operated the family business provided us with first-hand experience of the benefits that owing & operating a business gives to the owner, their family and the community. This inspired us to do the same.
Having worked in various roles and companies (e.g. Uber and Jaguar Land Rover) as well as starting and selling a zero-waste grocery company, we believe we are now in a position to add value to the company we acquire and operate.
Richard vd Byl
I am someone who has always been interested in owning and operating a company. This interest turned into action from a young age when I made and sold toasted cheese sandwiches during school breaktimes, to starting a zero-waste online grocery business with my housemate during COVID and has now evolved to having the goal of acquiring and operating a high-quality company.
Equipped with a Masters in Engineering from Cambridge University, I got to experience a variety of markets and industries working as a low-carbon energy consultant at a small consultancy called LCP Delta. I have also experienced being part of a more established, larger company working on the electric vehicle charging team at Jaguar Land Rover.
Outside of work I am a big sports fan and enjoy being outdoors. This means you can often find me playing sports such as tennis and cricket or hiking and camping in the mountains.
William vd Byl
